The Waxeyes' new single 'When I Was a Kid'

The Waxeyes are an alt-folk trio of Scott J Mason (songs, acoustic guitar, vocals, stomp). Kirsty Cooper (bass, vocals, voice of reason), and Hugh Harlow (electric guitar, keys, sound).

The group started as a husband and wife team (Scott & Kirsty) playing Scott's songs, but with the addition of Hugh, they have become The Waxeyes.

Their new single 'When I Was A Kid', is a song about the loss of innocence and acceptance of life's realities. The track was recorded at the University Of Otago's new studio, and the corresponding video was shot at the Otago Polytechnic by Stephen Hiillman, and edited by Scott. โ€˜When I Was a Kid' is out today, Friday the 13th, and is available on all the usual streaming platforms and from Bandcamp.
