Tomahawk radio's new album 'Dreaming with a View'
Dunedin four-piece Tomahawk Radio have just released their debut album Dreaming with a View.
What they’ve created is a collection of guitar-based rock songs textured with harmonies, Rhodes piano and vintage synthesisers, bringing to mind the likes of =The Jayhawks, Crowded House, The Killers and a touch of Radiohead.
Whilst a wonderful listening experience, these songs can definitely get people moving on the dance floor.
Singer, bassist, and surfer Brian Graham bought his wind buffeted Otago Peninsula home so he could keep an eye on the waves at both Tomahawk and Smails Beaches. When he realised his dream of building a music studio adjoining the house, he and bandmates Jeff Avery (guitars, vocals, keys), Luis Rodriguez (guitars, synths) and Scott Mason (drums, vocals, percussion) got serious about developing the band’s sound and releasing some music.
