SONGBROKER WELCOMES JOHN MICHAELZ
Songbroker is very pleased to welcome John Michaelz to the fold.
With ten albums to his credit, John Michaelz is known for his high-octane stage performances, fronting rock bands Hard to Handle, The Stone Babies and Kosher.
His latest body of work combines his love of reggae with his prowess for great song writing, working alongside the likes of Shona Laing, Rodger Fox, Ritchie Pickett, Gordon Joll (Herbs, Hello Sailor), Alan Norman (The Warratahs, The Rag Poets), and Liam Ryan (The Narcs) on this latest record.
In 2010 John was nominated for a New Zealand Tui Award for his Gospel album ‘Walk on Water’. John was born in Motueka and subsequently moved to Iceland for 17 years, eventually returning to Aotearoa in 1987 to further his career in music.
