Songbroker Song of the Day: Tim Allen - 'Crocodile Concern'
Tim Allen is a NZ based Singer/Songwriter from Preston Lancashire. He has performed all over the word in different guises, including shows in legendary venues such as The Cavern Club, Manchester’s Night and Day, Academy and a slot at Leeds festival with “The Little Kings”.
Tim released two singles with Kiwi band “Stormporter” and most recently has been on three international tours with N.Z band “Hangar 18” which saw the band sign a 15 country wide deal with MCA music (Universal Music Philippines).
As a solo artist he has released Two E. P’s, Nowhere to Go 2008, Wandering 2009 and full length album Its All About Time 2013 which was produced by Alan Gregson (Cornershop).
He is currently recording his second full length album and is currently booking live shows with his very tasty band which includes Ben King ( Goldenhorse), Milan Borich, (Pluto) and Matthias Jordan (Pluto) .
The sound of the new material and the band is very much steeped in U.K bands such as Oasis ,The Kinks ,The Beatles & Paul Weller with a kiwi twist.
From the Wandering EP, ‘Crocodile Concern’ is an upbeat pop track with clever lyrics, catchy hooks, and a taste of Northern England. Like all Tim’s songs they tend to linger leaving echoes of subtle melancholy and a warm heart.
