Albi & The Wolves to play WOMAD 2020
On March 13-15, award-winning artists from across the globe will come together for the vibrant showcase of world music, arts and dance that is WOMAD NZ.
The first artist line-up has been revealed and among the international music pedigree, some highly talented kiwi acts have been selected, including Reb Fountain, L.A.B. Soaked Oats and Songbroker’s own Albi & The Wolves.
The string trio create a huge sound using only an acoustic guitar, an electric violin, a double bass, their three voices, and a stomp.
The band recently won the Best Folk Artist 2018 TUI at the New Zealand Music Awards for their debut album One Eye Open, and since the release of their sophomore album This Is War, they have been touring constantly at home and abroad, making an appearance at Dashville Skyline Festival in Australia.
