Songbroker Welcomes Kong Fooey

Songbroker is delighted to welcome Kong Fooey to the fold.

This Auckland based Hip-hop funk soul outfit have earned themselves a solid and loyal kiwi fan base with their tight musicianship, funky beats and high-energy crowd-pleasing performances.

Over the past 5 years the band has come to the fore with singles such as the 2013 release
‘Let Go’, picked up by Kiwi FM, George FM and Mai FM, the hard-hitting frenetic groove of singles ‘Be Like Water’ , ‘Right As Rain’ and recently dropped brand new track The Beast which featured in March 2017’s NZ on Air New Tracks Disc.

All beats and music are written / produced by Jason Peters (ex Pumpkinhead) who has consistently collaborated with fellow Cantabrians Jamie Greenslade (aka Maitreya) ex Dark Tower, The Babysitter Circus) and cousin Alice Egan (aka Topaz), plus talented Singer/Guitarist David Haslett.

Production is under way on brand new music for their next album due for release end of 2017.
