Erin Myers releases dark pop single 'Loser'

Erin Myers’ new single ‘Loser’ delights with its dark and mysterious, alternative-pop atmosphere.

Erin is a 20-year-old singer/songwriter based in Hamilton, New Zealand. Her warm vocals are soaked with emotion and coordinate beautifully with the dark ambience of her music. The Hamilton-based artist says the single is a representation of how she has felt like an outsider for most of her life, but she has learned to fully embrace it.

Erin explains that the song was originally inspired by 90s pop-rock and pop-punk melodies. Layered vocals, guitar, and synthesiser create the minor, slightly haunting atmosphere that brings the song together. ‘Loser’ was written by Erin Myers, and produced by Ben Malone.

Erin’s love of music was always there, but she didn’t start creating music until she was 15 years old.

Erin was studying a Bachelor of Commercial Music in Wellington (2020 - 2021), where she was able to learn useful music industry skills. Erin’s debut EP Slow Motion was her very first attempt at releasing a collection of music into the world, and now she is currently writing even more music.
