Famous Blue Raincoat releases new single 'Papa Wemba'
A track inspired after listening to African artists such as Papa Wemba and Kanda Bongo Man and built around Rob Grosser's drum rhythms and in the hands of Singer/Songwriter Wayne Gillespie, Famous Blue Raincoat’s new single ‘Papa Wemba’ has become a blend of Folk/Rock/Pop and West African N'Dombolo dance music.
‘Papa Wemba’ features the joyous vocals of Australian/Ghanese jazz vocalist Evelyn Duprai, this is the second single from an album due for release in 2022.
