Children’s Music Awards 2020 Winners Announced
The winners for the 2020 Children’s Music Awards were announced on Friday afternoon on TV2 + 1 (Home Learning TV) and streamed via Kiwi Kids Music, hosted by Suzy Cato.
APRA Best Children's Song winner was Songbroker artist Kath Bee with the track 'I Love Life' (feat. Joelle) written by Kath Bee and Doug Stenhouse. Other finalists were Aro - 'Korimako' written by Emily and Charles Looker and Ben Sinclair and Jeremy Dillon - 'Tony the Tiny Pony'.
Te Kaipuoro Waiata Tamariki Toa / Best Children’s Music Artist went to Anika Moa who took out the prize over Captain Festus McBoyle and Songbroker’s Chris Sanders.
The NZ On Air Best Children's Music Video went to new Songbroker signees The Nukes with their ‘Worms’, video by Parry Jones and Christian Tjandrawinata. Other finalists were Little Ripples - ‘Read To Me’, video by Emily Benge, Chris Sanders - ‘Tahi Tahi Tahi Ambulance Song’ and Ben Sinclair and Jeremy Dillon - ‘Tony the Tiny Pony’, video by Ned Wenlock.
