DateMonthYear to release digital album and music video for 'Exodus'

Following on from the physical release of their 5th album Hamilton Independent music mavericks DateMonthYear are set to release a new music video and digital version of the album to all streaming services on the 31st of January.

The video is for the song ‘Exodus’ will be a challenging view for some. The lyrics of the song are described cryptically by songwriter Faville as ‘the farewell letter written after the fall’ with the imagery matching the lyrical exposition of ecological catastrophe from human consumption.

“The challenge was to construct a video that has impact without resorting to overtly graphic or explicit imagery, as well as not exploiting current divisive popular rhetoric on related subjects. We hope viewers will be able to watch, reflect and think”.

‘Exodus’ will be part of the digital release of the DateMonthYear’s fifth album, which also goes live on the 31st of January to all streaming services.

The new album continues to be available as a CD from the band’s website.
