Vinty releases 'Satellite'
Wellington based musician Vinty has just announced his new single 'Satellite' - out now via Bandcamp and YouTube.
Of the track, Vinty says "The essence of the song is about letting an outside force bring something you desire closer to you, whether it be a love of some one or a love of something. A passion you are not ashamed of, and willing to let it out there for the world to know. In the case of attraction to someone, letting them know where you stand. Taking a chance. Hopefully the openness is so overwhelming it makes the other question, why are we not like this all the time?"
Vinty is a musical project by Vinnie McParland. Vinnie started playing drums professionally at pubs & clubs in Wellington and around NZ at the age 14 and progressed to numerous sessions/TV/Radio and tours, hotel circuits from china/Beijing to the middle east of Oman. In the 80/90’s era he toured alongside legendary NZ acts, Hello Sailor, The Exponents, The Mockers, Shihad and many more.
The 90’ bought in the grunge era and The Gathering band, become a cult favourite amongst the Wellington faithful.
Albums from Vinty have no particular thread in the sense of sounding alike. One maybe hard rock, the next a pop melodic vibe and then it could be a concept album - whatever transpires from the recording session.
