FILTHY RICH SELLS TO US STREAMING GIANT HULU
Filthy Productions TV series 'Filthy Rich' which aired on TV2 earlier this year has been sold to US streaming giant Hulu.
The main rival to Netflix, Hulu is an American streaming service offering a selection of media with access episodes from ABC, the CW, Fox, and NBC the day after they air.
Producer Steven Zanoski recently told NBR Radio "It's a very significant deal for us both as a company and makers of New Zealand television...Given Hulu's subscriber base of 12 million viewers, I'm pretty excited we're going to bring our actors, our stories and all our creative stuff to the world."
It has also been confirmed that 'Filthy Rich' will screen across the ditch on Australia’s Channel Nine.
Songbroker wishes to congratulate Filthy Productions on their success and we are very proud to be part of the 'Filthy Rich' journey, having licensed an array of songs by NZ Musicians from our publishing catalogue.
The Hulu deal is a great exposure for these local musicians, plus a larger, international viewing audience also amounts to a higher performing rights income for our artists.
Songbroker's talented artists featured on 'Filthy Rich' are as follows:
Swamp Thing, Chess Countess, Eden Iris, Ash Grey, Kevin Field, Mika X, Twin Cities, Abby Holden, Esther Stephens & The Means, Black River Drive, GT42, Valedictions, Kurt Shanks, Seeds of Orbit, Kiri Eriwata, The Sound Room, Madam Tsunami, Splitter, date Month Year, Laurence Larson, The Dirty Sweets, These Automatic Changers, Tyson Smith, Sal Valentine & The Babyshakes, Eyreton Hall, The Response, Payola, The Roulettes and Grand Prix.
