South Pacific Pictures' production Shortland Street is NZ's longest-running drama and soap opera, being broadcast continuously for over 5,900 episodes and 23 years, and is one of the most watched television programmes in the country.

We wish to thank SPP for supporting our songwriters by licensing their songs on the show since Songbroker's inception.

The hospital soap opera has featured tracks by artists Eden Iris, Mahoney Harris, The Desotos, Kiri Eriwata, Pete Fountain, The Means, Valedictions, Paper Cranes, Swamp Thing, Black River Drive, Calico Brothers, Seeds of Orbit, Kurt Shanks, Tim Allen, Seeds of Orbit and Gareth Thomas to name a few.

It's a proud moment for our writers when they hear their own music in a public forum such as television. It's a validation and a motivation to keep writing more great music.
