Songbroker Welcomes Garageland

Songbroker Music Publishing is delighted to welcome the music of Garageland to our catalogue.

Garageland were an indie-rock band from Auckland, New Zealand that signed and released music via Flying Nun Records. The band was comprised of members Jeremy Eade, Dave Goodison, Mark Silvey, Andrew Gladstone, and Debbie Silvey.

Released in 1994, their debut EP 'Come Back Special' boasted five fresh pop songs laden with guitars and warm reverb that saw their popularity rise. They later released a full-length album, titled 'Last Exit to Garageland', that entered the Top 5 of the New Zealand charts. In 1996 Garageland relocated to London, being joined by guitarist Andrew Claridge once they arrived.

Following a 1998 tour of the States and New Zealand, the group then moved back from London. The following year they released their next album 'Do What You Want' that went gold in the country.

Their third and final album, 'Scorpio Rising', was released in 2002 before the group hung up their guitars and called it a day.
