Bridges announces TWENTY SOMETHING EP release tour for Nov/Dec

Aotearoa indie-pop artist Bridges has announced she will be heading on tour to celebrate the release of her debut EP TWENTY SOMETHING, which is set for release on October 20 and will feature the new single, ‘Misfits’.

Performing with her captivating live four-piece band, Bridges will play gigs at Space Academy for a home-coming show in Christchurch on November 25, as well as taking in Auckland, performing at Big Fan on December 8.

“I’m feeling pretty emotional about coming back to perform in my hometown of Christchurch,” says Bridges. “It’s been about a decade since I left; I haven’t performed there since I was a soloist, performing as an acoustic singer/songwriter”.

“I’m so excited to bring my band to the beautiful city where I grew up, and experience what is currently feeling like a full circle moment! I moved to Auckland to figure out who I am as a musician, which has been documented in my EP TWENTY SOMETHING - it’s wild to be coming back to perform it at the other end of the decade; sharing everything I’ve learnt and who I’ve become.”

The announcement of the tour comes ahead of her anticipated debut EP TWENTY SOMETHING, which will feature her latest release ‘okay, alright’, as well as previous releases ‘Gone’ and ‘Pills’. Two new tracks will be unveiled upon release of the EP, including the NZOA supported single ‘Misfits’; tying together the EP which is packed with stories and themes from this pivotal decade; creating a sort of sonic time capsule.
