Songbroker welcomes Ceol Manawatu
Songbroker Music Publishing is very pleased to welcome the songs of Ceol Manawatu to the catalog.
Ceol Manawatu is a collective of musicians focused on performing and recording original compositions connected to the Manawatu region of Aotearoa, New Zealand.
Ceol is the Gaelic word for music, with strong Scottish/Celtic influences underpinning many of the pieces and bagpipes featuring prominently.
Multi-instrumentalist Paul Turner has led Ceol Manawatu since 2002. He has decades long experience in the industry, winning a Tui in 1997 for Folk Album of the year for ‘Betwixt Time and Place’ with the band Wild Geese. In 2006, Ceol Manawatu released a four-track eponymously titled EP that has since been followed by three full length albums: ‘Fine’, ‘MHOR’, and ‘TILL’.
