Sonic Space Lab 'Coming Out On The Other Side'

Luis Rodriguez (aka Sonic Space Lab) is a Venezuelan composer and producer based in Dunedin, New Zealand since 2015. He has been releasing music as Sonic Space Lab since 2018 and his new single Coming Out On The Other Side will be released on April 22.is out today.

Coming Out On The Other Side will be the first track to be released from the album Cycles and it’s a full on techno banger to be enjoyed on the dance floor. Or at least that’s what he’d love.

“I wrote and recorded this music while going through some very difficult times because of the pandemic”, says Luis. “I needed music that would give me a sense of hope and energy and techno music can be perfect for just that”.

With this new music, Sonic Space Lab’s sound departs from songwriting structures to explore instrumental music and techno.

The use of acoustic instruments like the Venezuelan Cuatro, Shakers, the Güira, Clave and old recordings of Claps at “The Sacred Valley of the Incas” in the Andes of Peru, are mixed with the sounds of synthesizers throughout the album.

“Coming Out On The Other Side is about overcoming obstacles and fighting our way through whatever life throws at us” says Luis “Hopefully this music can help others to overcome whatever they’re fighting or going through as well.”
