Songbroker welcomes Mary
Songbroker is very pleased to welcome the music of Mary to the catalogue.
Mary was a four-piece band playing around Auckland, New Zealand during the 1990s whose sugary pop hits sound good enough to eat!
The group funded and released their debut album Maryland through their label Panty Records. This followed the success of previous EP’s Bigger (1998) and Golden Halo (1999).
They have performed at Big Day Out, Sweetwaters and University Orientations and have supported international acts Blink 182, Supergrass, Catatonia, The Lemonheads, Bare Naked Ladies and more as well as several notable local artists including Stellar*, The Exponents, Fur Patrol and Chris Knox.
Mary have also enjoyed some commercial success, with singles ‘Golden Halo’, ‘Someone Else’ and ‘Bigger’ making the local radio rounds.
