Gemini Effect release new single 'Gridlock Party'
The Gemini Effect are an alternative rock band from Auckland, making music that draws from the past and shaped for the future. Sometimes raw and furious, sometimes tripping through a psychedelic wormhole, their songs are always honest, channeling lyrics with a conscience.
There latest single ‘Gridlock Party’was written while songwriter Rob Sharp was sitting in stationary traffic heading north trying to go for a surf over Christmas. “I started daydreaming about what would happen if the traffic really stopped….. the music would go on, chilly bins unloaded, barbies sparked up……band setting up on the road…”
The accompanying video takes that daydream and runs with it.
