GRACE KELLY RELEASES NEW SINGLE ‘ANGELS’

Following on from the successful 2020 release of her debut EP before., young New Zealand country songstress Grace Kelly releases a playful take on one of her favourite Robbie Williams songs, the classic 1997 ballad ‘ANGELS’.

The idea to cover such a well-known pop song came about as Kelly spent time exploring and experimenting with bringing songs to life in a way she hadn’t heard them before, and in the genre she loves; modern country music.

“Robbie Williams songs nostalgically remind me of good times in my life. I wanted a fun project to get into, so decided to take the ballad feel of ‘Angels’ and put my spin on it with a lively and authentic Music City treatment.”

The effervescent singer once more enlisted trusted Nashville musician Bill Watson to play bass and produce the track, and was also thrilled to have talented 2019 and 2020 CMA Musician of the Year Jenee Fleenor on fiddle and mandolin, and guitarist Tom Wild on board, all of whom helped bring Kelly’s vision for the song to life.

“I worked with Bill on my EP, so to have his invaluable input again was an absolute no-brainer. Of course I was super happy to have Jenee, as she’s just incredible, and Tom’s guitar solo makes me grin every time I hear it. I really count myself so lucky to be able to work with such talented musicians.”

Meanwhile, Kelly keeps working on her own original material, currently crafting new songs with a plan to release a few singles throughout 2021.
