Stretch announces Hawkes Bay shows
Folk/country/goth/pacifica singer/songwriter, Stretch will be performing a run of shows through his home region this April.
Renowned for unforgettable performances and his connection with audiences, Stretch is stripping back the production and presenting a series of intimate solo shows in smaller venues across Hawke’s Bay.
‘The shows last year were great, I was lucky enough to play Mission Estate and Toitoi Hawke’s Bay Opera House, for the Arts Festival, but I’m really excited about getting into these beautiful rooms around Hawke’s Bay and creating that energy up close’.
Amidst a challenging year, Stretch recorded the exceptional new album Our Dreams Are Changing, with a small team of huge talent; Paula Sugden – Cello, Olly Harmer – Keys/Engineer, Wayne Bell – Percussion/Production..
This new music builds on his already impressive songbook. Moving on from the soulful rawness of the solo debut Bury All Horses, this material has wowed listeners and reviewers with its seductive mix of moody acoustic folk/soul music.
With a sound that transports audiences and a gift for truly original songwriting, this tour is a chance to not only catch one of New Zealand’s most engaging performers, but also the opportunity to celebrate a local creative, bringing it back home...
Tour Dates are as follows:
Sat 3 April - East End Cafe, Wairoa
Sat 10 April - Creative Arts Napier
Sat 17 April - Paper Mukberry Cafe, Waipawa
Sat 24 April - Hygge at Clifton Bay, Te Awanga
