Meech Brothers announce debut EP digital release

To celebrate 10 years since the release of their debut EP, Wellington duo Meech Brothers have released their debut EP Lost at Sea on all major streaming platforms. Previously only available on CD and Bandcamp, you can now find it on Spotify, AppleMusic, iTunes and elsewhere.

Meech Brothers are a long-running musical collaboration between brothers Clint (vocals, keyboards) and Gareth Meech (vocals, guitars).

Growing up in a music-rich household with a piano teacher mother, and a record-collector father, they have played music together since they were kids.

In various bands during their younger years, they came together as Meech Brothers and recorded and released a trilogy of EPs: Lost at Sea (2009), poco (2012) and Brown Owl (2017). They continue to work on new material.

Praise for Lost at Sea on it’s original release:
"These are good rootsy pop songs, and the obvious thing would have been to arrange them for conventionally rootsy instrumentation.  But the approach they have taken, using drum machines, touches of synth and electronics etc., is much better. It makes for a much fresher and more surprising record, one that stands out” - Nick Bollinger

…straightforward, well-crafted songs.  The siblings play all the instruments themselves…perfectly blending the acoustic with the electronic” - NZ Musician
