Myele's Manstandards Mixtape

Last week drummer, producer, composer extraordinaire, Myele Manzanza released his new project Manstandards.

Manstandards is a collection of productions chopping up recordings from some of Myele’s jazz heroes and re-interpolating their sounds into tracks that span the range of modern beat music from classic golden era inspired boom bap, to soulful mid tempo rollers and high energy house music, trap and broken beat.

Whilst Manzanza’s last releases A Love Requited & OnePointOne put him on the map as a world-renowned drummer and composer, Manstandards is a return to form for Myele as a producer & beatmaker, and when put alongside his previous catalogue shows him as an artist that continues to dissolve the borders between modern jazz and electronic beat production.
