Songbroker welcomes Marianne Leigh
Songbroker is very pleased to welcome singer/songwriter on the rise, Marianne Leigh.
Marianne Leigh is a 17-year-old singer-songwriter from Auckland, New Zealand who tells stories of her life as she sees it through song.
Leigh loves every part of the creative songwriting process; from the initial idea and crafting the lyrics, through to playing it through and bringing it to life in the studio.
Her songs are an honest and personal echo of her own life that capture a moment or feeling, something Leigh hopes her audience can relate to.
Her music was featured on the Play It Strange competition albums in both 2018 and 2019, has appeared on What Now and was featured in the New Zealand Ukulele Song Book and CD.
Other accomplishments include placing first in the Smokefree Rockquest Song Writing Competition with her single ‘Best of Me’, as well as being interviewed on RNZ by Jesse Mulligan. Her debut EP Timeline is out now for all to enjoy.
"If anything, it's very clear that Marianne has a very promising future ahead of her - one that will most certainly carry her far beyond this most recent timeline. This girl is one to watch."
