Songbroker welcomes Kath Bee
Songbroker is very pleased to welcome Kath Bee to the fold.
Since 2002 Kiwi kids have been singing along to her works ‘Individuality’, ‘Dad I Wanna Be A Camel’, ‘Seasons’, ‘Dragons Under My Bed’ and many more. These songs stand the test of time, still well-loved and widely sung throughout New Zealand Schools today.
Kath is a three-time APRA Children’s Video of the Year Award winner with ‘Individuality’ in 2010, ‘Dragons Under My Bed’ in 2014 and ‘Sprinkle A Little Sunshine’ with Suzy Cato in 2019. She was awarded an Honourable Mention in the 2016 International Songwriting Competition for her song ‘You Can Be You’ and was a finalist in the 2018 APRA Children’s Song of the Year Awards with ‘Sprinkle A Little Sunshine’. She is a semi-finalist in the 2018 International Songwriting Competition with her new release ‘Magic in Me’, awaiting results.
Kath’s songs are some of the most requested on the bFM Kids’ Show, she is a popular artist on Australia’s Funky Kids’ Radio, well-loved on Radio Active Kids in the USA and has her own live radio show on Top of the South’s FreshFM, which consistently has over 600 streams online bi-monthly.
Kath has a knack for crafting intelligent, thoughtful songs that resonate with children of all ages. Her clever lyrics grab your attention and her melodies stick in your head for days (and sometimes years)!!
