Songbroker Song of the Day: Jay Clarkson - 'Luckies'

Jay Clarkson is an established songwriter and performer with almost 30 years composing and recording experience.

A prolific songwriter, Jay's compositions highlight her distinctive, soulful vocals alongside her trademark finger-picking guitar-style.

Jay's catalogue comprises work demonstrating a variety of genres from the classic 'Dunedin Sound' indie pop to countryfied rock.

‘Luckies’ is a sparse & evocative, storytelling song from Clarkson’s 2016 album SPUR which received very favourable reviews from local reviewers Nick Bollinger and William Dart, and saw her perform on Kim Hill’s Radio NZ show.
