Apollo SteamTrain's 'Phone Box of Life'
Apollo SteamTrain’s brand new single ‘Phone Box of Life’ is a combination of sonic guitar and vocal melodies, layered over hard-hitting drums, that take the listener on a no-nonsense journey of power pop-rock.
“The track was inspired by the concept and imagery of The Tardis from the long-running BBC Television series Dr Who”, says McCarthy.
“The idea that something can be larger on the inside than on the outside really appealed to me and I related this to how we see ourselves in our daily lives. For human beings to live in harmony we must communicate and focus on what is on the inside and stop judging each other by what is on the outside”.
McCarthy formed Apollo SteamTrain in 2016 as a platform for his singer/songwriter projects. Brendan’s tracks have been licensed on several high profile TV shows including Shortland Street and Filthy Rich.
‘Phone Box of Life’ was recorded at Colourfield Studios in Tauranga by Tim Julian and mixed by TUI Award winning UK based Engineer Clint Murphy, and is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, and all good digital outlets.
