Danny McCrum releases new single ‘Don’t Be Late’

Danny McCrum has just released the second single from his forthcoming album Hustle Bustle, due for release in September 2019.

‘Don’t Be Late’ serves as both a warning and a comfort. A warning to treat each other better and make better decisions as a society. Then, for those who might feel overwhelmed by current events, the chorus offers encouragement: 'Don’t be late, don’t lose faith, don’t be changed, don’t be erased.’

The song is rich with melodies and groove, layered with harmonies, offset by unconventional drum patterns and held together by a solid bass line. Danny delivers a well-crafted song with accessible hooks, poignant emotion and an upbeat feel.

The accompanying music video is unconventional, dark and suspenseful.

Danny has worked as an original artist and session musician for many years, having played for and supported many top New Zealand and international acts including Eric Clapton, Tommy Emmanuel, John Mayer, John Butler Trio, Jeff Beck, Norah Jones, Jimmy Barnes, Simple Minds, Alex Burke (US), Lizzie Marvelly, Magnolia Memoir (US), Vann Dizon, Georgia Lines, Phil Edwards Band, the Michael Jackson tribute show 'King Of Pop, The Legend Continues’ and AutoMatic 80s. Danny co-hosts the podcast series Don’t Give Up Your Day Job where they talk to creative professionals about their experiences in the entertainment business.

Hustle Bustle will be Danny’s fourth album. ‘Don’t Be Late’ is available on Bandcamp, iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music and most other streaming platforms.
