Danish Crime Drama Features Boom! Boom! Deluxe

Bringing together New Zealand’s stunning scenery with Scandinavia’s reputation for crime-noir, Straight Forward is unmissable television viewing. Filmed in Queenstown and Copenhagen, the eight-part series follows a Danish con-woman’s attempts to leave her criminal past behind her by moving to a remote small New Zealand town.

Created by award-winning writer, John Banas (Resolve, Dear Murderer), the series is co-produced by TVNZ, along with Scandinavian streaming service, Viaplay and in association with Acorn Media Enterprises and Acorn TV, the leading North American streaming service for world-class television.

Although the lead actors are Danish, Straight Forward is filmed mostly in New Zealand, with Kiwi cast and crew, including featured songs and filmed performances by none other than kiwi retro rockers Boom! Boom! Deluxe.
