The Solomon Cole Band return with 'Pocket of Stones'
With the release of their 2016 debut album 'Bruises' receiving rave reviews ( one of the years best releases by Mike Alexander Sunday Times) and reaching No. 19 on the NZ Local album charts, and number 11 on the Independent NZ Music Albums, The Solomon Cole Band gathered a blues rock'n'roll momentum.
These days however, the quartet are intent on creating a more honed and organic, haunting blues-based sound that pivots on the songwriting partnership of vocalist Ely Xir and Solomon Cole.
A richer palette that moves the band away from the rock stylings of the debut, toward a more varied approach instrument-wise, with songs that capture the essence of traditional meets modern.
For NZ Music month they are releasing a little taster in the form of "Pocket Of Stones", a bare acoustic blues track punctuated by multiple sultry vocal harmonies, sometimes reminiscent of early Fleetwood Mac.
