SONGBROKER SONG OF THE DAY : SIMON COMBER "EARLY SPRING RAIN"
Simon Comber is an Auckland based singer/songwriter. Having released two L.P’s and an E.P, he now records and performs under the moniker Herriot Row. Comber’s musical career began in the late nineties after being spotted by Split Enz founding member Mike Chunn and Crowded House front man Neil Finn at a fundraiser show. Comber’s music mixes alternate guitar tunings, folk rock arrangements, analogue production techniques, psychedelic melodic strains and a narrative lyrical focus.
This beautiful, bitter-sweet tune will tug at even the most tense heart strings. Early Spring Rain is released under the album ‘Pre-Pill Love’ and speaks of lost love.
