Lake South unveils 'Mount Victoria' video

Lake South has just shared his new video for his stunning single ‘Mount Victoria’ from his recently released album Wellington | Te Upoko O Te Ika .

The latest album is a personal record of one’s interpretation of place; 11 simple well-crafted songs soaked in synths and sentiment..

Shot on Mount Victoria, the visual features Lake sporting a suit, mended specs and a fake microphone, staring across the Wellington cityscape. Cut to nighttime and a costume change, and Lake presents as a disheveled Ziggy Stardust galavanting amidst a troupe of 80’s dancers. It’s an odd juxtaposition that works surprisingly well with this wistfully upbeat electronic folk track.
