Songbroker Welcomes Damien Binder

Songbroker is very pleased to welcome Damien Binder to the fold.

Damien Binder is an Australian-based NZ songwriter who writes moody alternative rock laced with country & folk.  His music has been compared to the likes of Ron Sexsmith, Elliot Smith,  Ryan Adams and Neil Finn as well as the Church and The Go Betweens..

Since his self-titled debut album in 2000, Damien has gone on to perform nationally and internationally, while also supporting acts including David Gray, Marianne Faithfull & Ani Difranco. 

In the mid 90's he fronted NZ rock band Second Child, sharing the stage with acts such as Fugazi, The Jesus & Mary Chain, Rollins Band, Powderfinger, Hunters and Collectors and most famously Nirvana on their only NZ tour.

A previous finalist in the prestigious APRA Silver Scroll Songwriting Awards, Binder has released 4 solo albums and is currently working on the 5th, due for release in late 2018.
