Superturtle single and video release
Auckland band Superturtle will be celebrating the single and video release of "Student Flat Reunion" at The Clare Inn, Mt Eden on Wednesday, September 12th.
"Student Flat Reunion" is the title track to their fourth studio album, due out in Late October.
Joining the band will be guests The Scones, Galveston and Permission To Speak.
Superturtle began life as a solo recording project for former Figure 60 and Chainsaw Masochist bass player Darren McShane.
The first album To The Rescue released in 2008, showcased the formative process of Superturtle as a band, with recording sessions fitted in between McShane's "day job", as engineer and producer at Earwig Studios, Auckland.
First single , "All Our Friends" screened on Juice , C4 , Stratos , Cue , and Triangle and on Air New Zealand flights. Various tracks were picked up on BFM, as well as National Radio and Radio Live.
Their sophomore album, About The Sun, was released on local label Sarang Bang Records.
April 2013 saw the release of Superturtle's third album Beat Manifesto, which receive great reviews locally.
