New Paper Cranes Music Video for 'Midsummer'
A dreamy, breezy love song, filled with shimmery guitars and keys, ‘Midsummer’ evokes images of long, hot, summer nights and the happy confusion of new love.
The video, which is listed as 'Recurring Dream, part 1,' has grainy, homely Super 8 footage that evokes nostalgia for the past, while also hinting at the dreams that inspired many of the songs on the forthcoming album (due this year). Shot around Auckland, in Mount Maunganui and at festivals, it's a special snapshot of a New Zealand summer.
Written by Fraser Browne and Naomi Browne, ‘Midsummer’ was performed by Fraser Browne (vocals) and Naomi Browne (piano and vocals), Nic Manders (guitars, synth, bass), Adam Tobeck (drums). The track was recorded and mixed by Nic Manders at Smoke and Parachute studios, and mastered by Nathan Tiddy.
The song is available from all good digital outlets. To hear more from Paper Cranes, head to the Songbroker Search Engine.
