Jonathan Crayford to perform at NZ Festival and Auckland Arts Festival
Pianist and composer Jonathan Crayford is set to perform two exciting festival shows this Summer.
The 25th February sees Jonathan team up with Nathan Haines as part of the New Zealand Festival in Wellington.
A collaborative re-working of the Adagio form, the slower “adagio” tempo is the starting point for an intimate musical journey that takes in the works of Samuel Barber, Bach, Stravinsky, Vaughan and John Williams, and even Morricone.
Crayford (on piano and keyboards) and Haines (on woodwinds and electronics) are both prolific recording artists and multiple recipients of New Zealand’s Best Jazz Album of the Year.

On March 20th Jonathan will be performing as part of the Sonic Silos series at the Auckland Arts Festival.
Silo 6, a collection of six adjoined silos, sits boldly within the Festival Playground at Silo Park. Cavernous and resonant, they are a fascinating acoustic space to explore art and sound.
