MICE ON STILTS AND SAM BARTELLS TO SUPPORT RADICAL FACE
Prog folk band Mice On Stilts and singer-songwriter Sam Bartells have been announced as the support acts for American folk pop artist Radical Face, who will be performing at The Tuning Fork in Auckland on June 3rd.
6 piece collaboration, Mice On Stilts is a band that traverses genre distinctions to create their own brand of indie rock. described by one reviewer as “a sombre, subtle and slow-to-grow opus that virtually exudes a cinematic aura others of their kind often only allude to.”
Their most recent album Hope For A Mourning received rave reviews at home and abroad with single 'The Hours' longlisted for the 2016 Silver Scroll Awards.
Sam Bartells has an earthy husky timbre and a love of raw acoustic guitar – his influences being the honest lyrics and memorable melodies of Ben Harper, James Taylor , Jimmy Barnes , Neil Finn and Dave Dobbyn to name a few.
