ANDREW THORNE RELEASES SINGLE UNDER MONIKER STINGY BRIM

Songbroker artist and Modern Chair member Andrew Thorne has just launched the rocking new single 'Gun Monkey' under the new pseudonym Stingy Brim - packed to the gills with hefty scratchy electric guitars, heaving drums and and an incendiary guitar solo.

Thorne is also a guitarist and main singer-songwriter for former bands Splitter and Calico Brothers.

A guitarist for hire, he has lent his talents to Bic Runga’s Drive album and subsequent tours as well as performing for Dave Dobbyn’s 2001 ‘My Kinda People’ and Summer 2003 tours including shows at London’s Brixton Academy.

Thorne’s songs have found multiple placements on screen in NZ and abroad, such as Outrageous Fortune, Being Eve, The Almighty Johnsons, Go Girls, The Blue Rose, Bondi Rescue (Aus), Suits (US TV) andDemoted (US Film).
