Geoffrey Hern is a Singer Songwriter and Musician based in New Zealand. He has Country and Blues roots but loves and plays all types of music. He’s the Son of“Jenny Blackadder” one of the Worlds foremost Four string banjo players, better known as The Banjo Queen.
Geoffrey was touring New Zealand, playing bass for his mum at 12 years old. He’s honed his craft on the road and learnt off some ofNew Zealand’s best musicians and has won multiple Music Awards. He’s a session bass player that’s worked throughout New Zealand and Australia but his first love is song writing.
He’s never been serious about getting his stuff out there, so wassurprised when a song he wrote for his wedding was picked up by NZ on air and was one of the most Played NZ songs from an unsigned Artist on Atiawa Toa FM, Mai FM and The Breeze.
After years of working in Television and film as an Editor and sound engineer to support his family, he’s recently gone back to his first love of writing and playing music full time.
He has a huge catalogue of music fromCountry - Rock - Pop - Gospel and Ballads.
