Andrew Thorne is a guitarist and main singer-songwriter for former bands Splitter and Calico Brothers.
Thorne is also a guitarist for hire, having lent his talents to Bic Runga’sDrive album and subsequent tours as well as performing for Dave Dobbyn’s 2001 ‘My Kinda People’ and Summer 2003 tours including shows at London’s Brixton Academy.
His music composition and production talents extend to TV programs such as TV 3’s Million Dollar Con-Man and The Benefits Man and TVNZ productions Kia Marama and Burying Brian.
Thorne’s songs have found multiple placements on screen in NZ and abroad, such as Outrageous Fortune, Being Eve, The Almighty Johnsons, Go Girls, The Blue Rose, Bondi Rescue (Aus), Suits (US TV) andDemoted (US Film).
