From a rural upbringing in Tamahere, New Zealand up-and-coming singer/songwriter Abby Holden’s brand of catchy self-penned kiwi pop replete with frank lyricism is fast gaining her a fan-base on the vibrant London music scene.
Since moving to London Abby has continued to hone the craft of songwriting, recording her debut album “Flipside” at London’s Ritz Studios. “Wrong Tonight” and “Believe in Me” recently went through to the finals of the UK Songwriting Competition 2011, while the title track “Flipside” and “Undone” made it into the semi-finals.
Abby is now receiving radio play throughout the UK from independent stations ; and has returned from 2 successful 10 day US tours that included dates at cult venues The Bitter End and Café Vivaldi in New York.
The fun-loving Antipodean singer is now back with her second album 'Strange Affection' collaborating with producers the world over. The single Strange Affection made it to the finals of the USA songwriting competition 2013 and is on rotation throughout the UK on regional radio. Currently writing an EDM EP with Turkish producer XJ Jack due for release early 2015. Co-writer for up and coming pop sensation ZAiN.
