THE DIRTY SWEETS

THE DIRTY SWEETS

Playing a prehistoric ‘growl rock’ and sounding like the bastard child of the Cramps and Zodiac Mindwarp. The ‘Sweets’ are the twisted brainchild of former Freak Power vocalist/songwriter Paul Edwards and Mary singer/guitarist Dee Dee Taylor. From the brilliant ’70s cop style art on the covers through to the grinding guitars and venomous irony this little ride is fast, furious and sticky. Check the first single Good As Gone, a T-Rex/ZZ Top inspired grungefest.

The Dirty Sweets are about as close to the Munsters playing at an Acca Dacca convention as you’re gonna get.

The Dirty Sweets have been getting plenty of radio play on Hauraki, The Rock, Bayrock, Kiwi FM and other local stations in Hamilton and Wellington, plus a fair bit of video exposure too. They have supported Urge Overkill, The Datsuns, Head Like a Hole, Cairo Knife fight, Luger Boa, Devilskin and loads of other local bands in Auckland & other North Island towns.
