THE ROULETTES

THE ROULETTES

The Roulettes is an Auckland 3 piece indie/psych rock band.  The band was formed by Ben and Justin in Auckland in the 2000s from the ashes of sonic Dunedin rock’n’roll bands (Funhouse, Bike). They released two EPs (You Want It and Unread Books) before settling on Mark Queenin (Bike, Garageland) on drums and recording their critically acclaimed eponymously-titled album, which was recorded at Ben’s Uncle Fred’s woolshed near Mercer and with Milan Lovre Borich from Pluto at his studio ‘The Wall’. The album was completed at Arch Hill Studios with John McDermott. Additional recording took place in Ben’s airy loft, where the album was also mixed. Ben engineered and mixed, and Ben and Justin produced all recordings.

The Roulettes have had extensive airplay on bNet radio, The Rock, Radio Live, Bayrock and other stations around NZ. Their music has featured in Outrageous Fortune and appeared on the OF soundtrack album ‘Repeat Offenders’.

The Roulettes are currently recording songs for their next release at Arch Hill studios in Auckland.
