GOLDEN CURTAIN

GOLDEN CURTAIN

Based in the Hawkes Bay, Golden Curtain is an infectious power-pop outfit consisting of Andrew McKenzie (Grand Prix) on vocals and guitar, Andrew Gladstone (Garageland) and Brad Gamble on bass.

Described as a “nervy balance of dark indie pop and rapturous, scruffy soul”, Golden Curtain have been likened to The Chills, The Muttonbirds, Lou Reed and even Chekov, but remain true to their own sound, making unpretentious, thoughtful, well-crafted songs that reward the listener with each subsequent listen.

Golden Curtain released English Tuning in 2013 receiving rapturous reviews in NZ and abroad, and the 2014 follow up Dream City is full of jangly pop gems warranting play after play.
